Roasted Jerusalem Artichokes

Yesterday, I saw Jerusalem Artichokes while shopping grocery and thought I never cooked it myself so I decided to give it a try.

After some research on how to cook it, I decided to roast it in the oven. I preheated the oven to 180 Celcius degrees and washed the Jerusalem Artichokes. I peeled them (which was the most difficult part – they are in different shapes and sized)

Anyway, after peeling them I cut them into chunks. Then I peeled white onions and garlic. I put everything on the cooking tray and add some small pieces of butter, salt, dried thyme, black pepper.

I mixed them all and put them to the oven. After 25 mins, they were ready to eat (check them with a fork to make sure they got soft enough to eat)

I prepared a salad by mixed greens, oil olive, lemon juice and salt.

I served the Jerusalem Artichokes with fresh salad and it was so fulfilling, delicious and fresh. You should give it a try if you haven’t.

  • Black pepper
  • Dried thyme
